| What We Do: |
The National Blind Children's Society’s objective is to enable children and young people with visual impairment to achieve their educational and recreational goals. Our vision is a world where children with a visual impairment have an equal opportunity to the provision of education, which is adequately supported with sources of information provided in a suitable format for their needs and where there are no barriers to sports and recreational activities. We offer help and support from the moment a child is diagnosed, usually at birth, through each key stage of their education to the age of twenty-five. By working in collaboration with other organisations and professionals associated with visual impairment NBCS offer five ‘Key Services’ which are provided either free or at a nominal charge. |
