What We Do:

The Department supports its Ministers in developing and implementing policies and strategies aimed at:

  • people who receive benefit
  • people who need help to get work
  • disabled people
  • older people
  • people who get the State Pension.

The Benefits Enquiry help line offers help filling out claim forms over the phone when you are applying for Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance.

You can also use the RNID Typetalk service. The Benefit Enquiry Line is open 8.30 am to 6.30 pm Monday to Friday and 9.00 am to 1.00 pm Saturday.
