What We Do:

How we make a difference

Helping children under 5 There is overwhelming evidence that speech therapy can produce remarkable results for children under 5 years. Our previous campaigns on Early Intervention have led to many more young children seeing a speech therapist at the appropriate time. Through our most recent project 'Every Child's Chance of Fluency' we hope to help abolish the present 'post code lottery' which exists across the country, so that every dysfluent child will have an equal chance of effective therapy.

Helping children and teachers in schools We have distributed interactive CD-ROMS to all schools in England and Scotland, and our secondary school CD is available online. Our education officer is currently working on resources for parents, to give detailed guidance on getting the best support for their child during preschool and school years.
